TELEPHONES: Yes some people still use the home telephone!!

There are still many systems and gadgets for the home phone or communication system available.

Caller Id boxes are increasingly becoming popular as means of screening calls coming into the house.

Answering Machines are a must for the busy person or a Pager, although the mobile phone has really taken it’s place but it still has it’s uses.

Cordless phones make roaming about the house easier as do Cordless Headsets, these come in very handy when you work from home.

For Telephone equipment such as mentioned above: Telephones have a good range.

HOME THEATRE SYSTEMS: Home cinema or home theatre, is an entertainment system that tries to reproduce cinema quality video and audio in a home setting.

Systems might include a High-Definition video format, High-Definition Television with a "cinema-style" 16 X 9 format, and a several thousand-watt home theatre receiver with five to seven surround sound speakers.

If you really want to push the boat out then a digital projector and screen is where you want to be heading!

Car Alarms and Immobilisers are increasingly popular.

Music systems are also a must in my book!
With advancing technology, many have gone over to Mp3 or Ipod players but many of us still use a cd changer in the boot! And dare I say it, some cars still have cassettes, remember those?!

But the one piece of equipment that really has been a lifesaver is the Sat Nav… now we have something other then our partners map reading skills to blame when we get lost!

The word "photography" comes from the French "photographie" which is based on the Greek "light" + "stylus" or "paintbrush" together meaning "drawing with light."

Digital point-and-shoot cameras have become widespread consumer products, outselling film cameras, and including new features such as video and audio recording.

Kodak announced in January 2004 that it would no longer sell reloadable 35 mm cameras in western Europe, Canada and the United States after the end of that year.
Kodak was at that time a minor player in the reloadable film cameras market.
In January 2006, Nikon followed suit and announced that they will stop the production of all but two models of their film cameras.
In May 2006, Canon announced they will stop developing new film SLR cameras.

According to a survey made by Kodak in 2007, 75 percent of professional photographers say they will continue to use film, even though some embrace digital.
